Coronary Intensive Care Unit

The Coronary Intensive Care Unit (Coronary ICU) is a specialized department designed for the close monitoring of critical heart conditions that typically occur suddenly and can lead to the patient’s death if left untreated or unmanaged.

Patients who require admission to this unit are primarily those experiencing a heart attack caused by a blockage in one of the arteries supplying blood to the heart muscle.

Other conditions that necessitate admission to the Coronary ICU include sudden disturbances in heart rhythm, abrupt drops in blood pressure due to cardiovascular problems, and the sudden onset of heart failure symptoms.

Our hospital’s Coronary Intensive Care Unit provides Level 1 care services.
