ADULT DETOXIFICATION CENTER (AMATEM)

With the presence of our Minister of Health, Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu, the opening of the Adult Detoxification Center (AMATEM) was held, and our center has started providing outpatient services. Patients under probation and adult detoxification patients are monitored in these areas. The center includes 5 outpatient clinic rooms, 1 psychologist, 4 private consultation rooms, 1 social work room, laboratory, blood sampling and supervised specimen collection areas, family SAMBA and patient SAMBA rooms, probation SAMBA, family visiting rooms, as well as social living areas, a sports room, and occupational therapy workshops for inpatients to engage in activities throughout the day.

At the Adult Detoxification Center, a comprehensive treatment approach tailored to individual needs is adopted, providing support through medical, psychological, and social interventions.

In our inpatient Adult Detoxification Center Clinic:

• Our primary goal for patients who come undecided about their addiction is to break their denial, inform them about the consequences if addiction is left untreated, and raise their motivation to the highest possible level.

• For those who decide to change, the second stage is to cope with withdrawal symptoms, during which medication treatment is applied.

• The next stage of addiction treatment focuses on maintaining motivation, discussing ways to resist cravings, re-establishing communication with family and friends, and helping the patient adapt to a new lifestyle free from substance use.
