Our Aviation Medical Center operates with the mission:
"The primary goal is to ensure flight safety and to monitor and protect the health of flight personnel."

Eskişehir Yunus Emre State Hospital’s 2nd September Service Building Aviation Medical Center (AMC) is authorized by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Directorate General of Civil Aviation in accordance with Law No. 5431 on the Organization and Duties of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and the relevant articles of the Aviation Medical Instruction (SHT-MED).

Our center is authorized as an Aviation Medical Center by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation to perform first, second, third-class, and other initial and periodic health examinations for flight and aviation personnel.

The AMC’s operations are conducted by Authorized Flight Physicians and the Head of the AMC. Medical examinations for flight and aviation personnel, as well as candidates, are performed by the Aviation Medical Examination Board, which is chaired by the Chief Authorized Flight Physician and consists of specialists in Ophthalmology, ENT, Neurology, Psychiatry, and Internal Medicine. The Authorized Flight Physician is responsible for deciding on the fitness of the individual to fly.


EXAMINATION PROCEDURES:

Please bring the following to your appointment:

  • Photo ID

  • Current Health Certificate

  • Two photographs

Note: Those who use glasses or contact lenses must bring them to periodic examinations.

Examinations begin at 08:30 by prior appointment. Patients should arrive fasting. Smoking is not allowed before the exam as it may affect the results.

After flight personnel complete their registration and tests, the examination and tests are finalized. If no additional tests or examinations are needed, the process is completed within two days. Certificates are issued and delivered accordingly. Initial health certificates are issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
